Wood floors are under way! The carpet was ripped up and all the floors were sanded down. Here are a few pictures from when I got home today:

When the contractor got here this morning, we peeled back a corner of the carpet in the guest room to see the entire floor underneath. He realized that the carpet pad was not glued down, but there was glue on the floor. That means this is at least the second set of carpet that's been down on the floor. I can't believe it was in style to cover up those beautiful wood floors! I picked out a medium brown stain that will go down tomorrow. I can't wait to come home from work tomorrow to see how it turns out. :)
Why in the world would someone ever cover those gorgeous hardwood floors! Cant wait to see the finished product!
