for the first official post, i thought it would be appropriate to post our wedding pictures. we loved our photographers, jenny and eddie of jenny martell photography. jenny was almost 9 months pregnant on our wedding day, so eddie was our main guy with a second shooter (jenny was there for our engagements and my bridal portraits.) they are both super fun people and very talented. we're so glad we hired them!
i was a bit more particular about our photographer than tyler was. it was important that our photographers were fun - afterall, we'd be hanging out with them the whole day of our wedding. also, it was important to me that our photographers used photoshop. a lot of photogs out there use lightroom, and while that's totally acceptable and you can get beautiful pictures with it, i needed to know that our photographers could do some major retouching, etc. if needed, and while you can do some of that in lightroom, i was totally okay with our photos being photoshopped (some people like them to be more natural looking). and lastly, i wanted photographers that were more journalistic in their style. the current trend in wedding photography right now is vintagey, yellow tones, which is beautiful - but is it going to be great in 30 years or would our pictures just look old? jenny and eddie have a very modern, journalistic style and i think it will be just as beautiful in 30 years as it is now. here are just a few of our favorite pics.
